Dance 3 : Music: ‘I Believe’ (from the film ‘Honey’)
Rows of 4 (same as Grease) but each pair starts at the edge of the studio in pairs with arms folded, back to back and head/eyes down facing the back.

Counting in slow beats of 4: 1-4 Hands together and start down, up above head, out to the side and down 1-4 (repeat)
Mexican wave effect with arms (beats 8-12) and back up 13-16.
In partners, link arms and slowly release, partner spins in under other person’s arm and back out .
* The above is only an idea, more advanced senior pupils made up their own introduction (32 beats) with 4 rows taking 8 beats each.
CHORUS
- On the word REACH cross left arm across chest and spin round using pointing right hand and finish facing the front. Spin right hand to the RIGHT with left hand following, twist round while crouched and jump straightening legs (bounce back up on SOUL), kick left leg to the front, walk back for 3 beats pushing palms downwards, turn head to back, cross over legs while still pushing palms downwards for 3 beats. Both hands up to the sky on OH.
- Right arm behind body straight, lean back with chest out. Now facing the left, 1-2-3 shoulder shrugs, pull body forward while rolling shoulders, start with feet apart and jump in to cross legs, right arm looking at the time, left arm behind back, hips in-out-in for 3 beats. Kick with right foot, face centre for a second and then facing the right side, raise left knee twice. Hands on knees, start with legs out then in. Take 1 big step backwards with arms spread out and right arm comes forwards. Right arm with elbow bent comes up then left arm up then both together covering face.
- Circle turn to right but don’t clap, push palms downwards at the end. Repeat to the left. Face the back, 4 x crossovers to the back, 1-2 to the centre, right hand pushes face to the side and face left on WILL.
- Left foot forward diagonally 1st then back once and back cross over step. To right. Repeat with right foot to left.
- Shoulder shrugs using arms and leaning forward, R, L,R,L, circle body to left to right then right to left.
- Into 2/3 lines 1 behind the other. On FINE, all arms up then out straight to both sides at the same time, bend both arms in and then out. Heads UP on CARES then knees in and out (1st person only) and repeat.
- Back into rows and fast feet to either side before repeating chorus. Facing left down in 3 stages.
- HIP-HOP SECTION-PUPILS MAKE-UP. (Or you can follow the steps on the clip) 8 pupils in a straight line, 2 elbow pushes to the right, each pupil goes to alternate sides. The next bit (until the end of the hip hop section is easier to understand by watching the video. Here are some additional ideas for hip-hop section:
- In partners, step to alternate sides looking at each other.
- Person behind jumps and straddles
- Press up position: down in 3’s
- Circle turns to right and left.
- Face the back, cross over steps, face round and kick round.
- Shoulder shrugs to the front and turn upper body right-left and right to left (body rolls)
- Into a line as before: arms up, out in and out. (x2)
- Chorus 1: Start from bounce up and kick all facing the side. This chorus stops after right/left arm up/out, together etc.
- Chorus 2: Starts when chorus 1 finishes after the final circle turn and starts with a kick and repeat.
- Finish with a spin and final pose or pupils preference.
