The Comhairle intends to introduce a 40mph speed limit on the A859 Stornoway - Rodel Road, at the village of Balallan. The effect of this Order will be to prohibit any person from driving or causing or permitting to be driven, any vehicle on that length of road known as the A859 Stornoway to Rodel road through the village of Balallan from a point adjacent to the car park entrance at Creag Ghorm at the East end of Balallan Village to a point 0.4km Southwest of the junction of the B8060 to South Lochs at a speed exceeding 40mph, an overall length of 4.5km or thereby.
