Accessibility
The HHP web site aims at maximising accessibility for users with disabilities by supporting the following features:
- Text links are designed to be as descriptive as possibly.
- The site implements cascading style sheets (CSS) but is designed to degrade gracefully if CSS is not supported.
- Style sheets are designed to allow users to resize page text in browsers that support this feature.
- Links to external sites open in a new window. (NB: HHP is not responsible for the content or accessibility of these referenced sites.)
- Images contain 'alt' and 'title' tags providing a simple description of the images to support screen readers.
- 'Skip navagation' links at the top of each page enable screen reader users to bypass the navigation block and go directly to the page content.
- Access keys have been defined to help users navigate the site.
The following global access keys are currently available:
- Alt + 0 - Accessibility
