Clerk of Works - Balivanich
Salary £20,442 - £22,848 (Inclusive of Distance Islands Allowance)
An opportunity has arisen to work for the Hebridean Housing Partnership in the role of Clerk of Works. The post is based in Balivanich and will be responsible for delivering our repairs and maintnenance service. This post forms part of a small team which delivers all our housing management functions in Uist, Harris and Barra. In this post you will be expected to provide technical support to enable the delivery of the Partnership’s maintenance programmes. You will also be required to carry out site investigations, supervise building and repair works.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Clerk of Works who has worked in a housing related context or a time served joiner who has experience of working on housing projects or a construction professional looking for a new challenge.
Applicants for this post will need to demonstrate a positive attitude towards housing and an understanding of the role of a locally based Housing Association in the context of an island community as well as good technical knowledge of construction matters.
You must have access to a car to enable you to meet the duties of this post and we will expect you to be flexible regarding working hours and travel throughout the islands.
