Minute of Meeting held in the Council Offices, Stornoway, on Wednesday 17 May 2000 at 9.30am.

The Committee Services Manager chaired the Meeting and called for nominations for Chairman of the Committee for the twelve months to May 2001.

Mrs Mary Bremner, seconded by Mr Norman A Macdonald, moved the election of Mr Alasdair G Macrae.

There being no further nominations the Committee Services Manger declared that Mr Alasdair G Macrae had been elected Chairman of the Committee for the twelve months to May 2001 and invited Mr Macrae to take the Chair.

The Chairman called for nominations for Vice-Chairman of the Committee for the twelve months to May 2001.

Mr Malcolm J Graham, seconded by Donald J Macsween, moved the election of Mrs Katie M Mackenzie.

Mr George Lonie, seconded by Mr Philip R McLean, moved the election of Mr Ronald J MacKinnon.

There being no further nominations the Committee proceeded to vote by ballot and the result of which was as follows:

Mrs Katie M Mackenzie 8 Votes

Mr Ronald MacKinnon 7 Votes

The Chairman declared Mrs Katie M Mackenzie duly elected as Vice-Chairman of the Committee for the twelve months to May 2001.
