Election of Chairman

The Principal Administrative Officer chaired the meeting and called for nominations for Chairman of the Committee.

Mr Norman A Macdonald, seconded by Mr Norman L Macdonald, moved the appointment of Mr Angus McCormack.

Mr Donald Manford, seconded by Mr Iain Morrison, moved the appointment of Mr Malcolm J Graham.

There being no further nominations the Committee proceeded to vote by ballot, the result of which was as follows:

Mr Angus McCormack - 6 votes

Mr Malcolm J Graham - 9 votes

The Principal Administrative Officer declared that Mr Malcolm J Graham had been duly elected as Chairman of the Arts and Leisure Committee.

Appointment of Vice-Chairman

The Chairman called for nominations for Vice-Chairman of the Committee.

Mr Donald I Nicholson, seconded by Mr George Lonie, moved the appointment of Mr Iain Morrison.

Mr Norman A Macdonald, seconded by Norman L Macdonald moved the appointment of Mr Keith Dodson.

There being no further nominations the Committee proceeded to vote by ballot, the result of which was as follows:

Mr Iain Morrison - 11 votes

Mr Keith Dodson - 4 votes

The Chairman declared that Mr Iain Morrison had been duly elected as Vice Chairman of the Arts and Leisure Committee.
