The Director of Administration and Legal Services chaired the meeting and called for nominations for Chairman of the meeting.

It was agreed to appoint Mrs Mary Bremner as Chairman of the meeting.

MINUTES

The Minute of Meeting of 13 February 1995 was approved.

It was agreed that, in accordance with the provisions of Standing 23 (a), the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following items on the grounds that exempt information relating to applicants to become an office-holder under the Council would be disclosed.

The Chief Executive submitted a Report comprising in respect of the post of Director of Social Work:-

(a) job advertisement;

(b) job description;

(c) person specification; and

(d) applications received.

It was agreed that the following candidate be short-leeted for interview:-

Malcolm Smith, Western Isles Council
