The Acting Director of Environmental Services submitted a Report concerning an application for planning permission for a small extension to the Acute Psychiatric Unit, Western Isles Hospital, Stornoway. It was intimated in the Report that as the applicants agent was Mr Philip McLean, Member for the Plasterfield Ward, the matter had been referred to the Sub-Committee for determination. It was further stated that the proposals were in conformity with planning legislation and would otherwise have been approved. It was agreed that the Acting Director of Environmental Services be authorised to grant planning permission for the erection of a small extension to the Acute Psychiatric Unit, Western Isles Hospital, Stornoway subject to the conditions detailed in the Report. |

The Acting Director of Environmental Services submitted a Report concerning an application for planning permission for a rear extension at 30 Bayhead Street, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis. It was intimated in the Report that as the applicants agent was Mr Philip McLean, Member for the Plasterfield Ward, the matter had been referred to the Sub-Committee for determination. It was further intimated that the proposals were in conformity with the planning legislation and would otherwise have been approved. It was agreed that the Acting Director of Environmental Services be authorised to grant planning permission for a rear extension at 30 Bayhead Street, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis subject to the conditions detailed in the Report. |
Proposed Front and Rear Extension to House at 4 Oliver's Brae, Stornoway |

The Acting Director of Environmental Services submitted a Report concerning an application for planning permission for extensions to the front and rear of the house at 4 Oliver's Brae, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis. The Report gave background information commented on the application and indicated that a representation had been received. The Chairman invited Mr Ian Wilson to address the Sub-Committee in accordance with procedure for hearing applicants and objectors at meeting of the sub-Committee. Thereafter the Chairman invited Mr Finlay Campbell, the applicant, accompanied by his architect Mr Iain Macleod and Mr Angus Campbell, Member for the Newton Ward, representing Mr J M Macdonald and Mrs K Campbell of 5 Oliver's Brae, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis who had made representations in relation to the above application to address the Sub-Committee in accordance with the procedure for hearing applicants and objectors at meeting of the Sub-Committee. Mr Finlay Campbell, accompanied by Mr Iain Macleod and Mr Angus Campbell Members for the Newton Ward left the meeting. It was agreed that the Acting Director of Environmental Services be authorised to grant planning permission for extensions for the front and rear of the house at 4 Oliver's Brae, Stornoway, Isle of Lewis subject to the conditions detailed at Appendix 1 of the Report. |

The Acting Director of Environmental Services submitted a Report concerning an application for planning permission for the construction of two blocks of dwelling houses, providing 6 units at Scott Road, Tarbert, Isle of Harris. It was indicated in the Report that as the applicants agent was Mr Philip McLean, Member for the Plasterfield Ward the matter had been referred to the Sub-Committee for determination. It was further intimated that the proposals were in conformity with planning legislation and would otherwise have been approve. It was agreed that the Acting Director of Environmental Services be authorised to grant planning permission for the construction of two blocks of dwelling houses, providing 6 units at Scott Road, Tarbert, Isle of Harris subject to: (1) the Acting Director of Environmental Services being satisfied that there were no outstanding issues relating to the capacity of the public sewer; and (2) the conditions detailed at Appendix 1 of the Report. |
