Erect House Adjacent to 12 Eoropie, Ness, Isle of Lewis

PLANNING APPLICATIONS

The Acting Director of Environmental Services submitted a Report concerning an application for outline planning permission for the erection of a dwelling on land adjacent to 12 Eoropie, Ness, Isle of Lewis. The Report gave background information, commented on the application and indicated that representations had been received.

The Chairman invited Mr D Mackenzie, the applicant, to present his case and to ask questions put by Members of the Sub-Committee.

   

It was agreed that the Acting Director of Environmental Services be authorised to grant outline planning permission for the erection of a dwelling house on land adjacent to 12 Eoropie, Ness, Isle of Lewis, subject to the conditions detailed at Appendix 1 of the Report.

Extend House at 17 Garenin, Isle of Lewis

The Acting Director of Environmental Services submitted a Report concerning an application for planning permission for an extension to the house at 17 Garenin, Carloway. It was intimated in the Report that, as the applicant, Mrs I Galbraith, was the wife of the Acting Chief Executive, the matter had been referred to the Sub-Committee for determination.

It was agreed that the Acting Director of Environmental Services be authorised to grant planning permission for an extension to the house at 17 Garenin, Carloway, Isle of Lewis, subject to the conditions detailed at Appendix 1 of the Report.

Construct Access Road Septic Tank, 4 Leurbost, Lochs, Isle of Lewis

The Director of Environmental Services submitted a Report concerning an application from the North of Scotland Water Authority for the construction of an access road and septic tank. It was intimated in the Report that, as the construction of the access road and septic tank was on a croft, the tenant of which was an officer of the Comhairle, the matter had been referred to the Sub-Committee for determination.

It was agreed that the Acting Director of Environmental Services be authorised to grant planning permission for the construction of an access road and septic tank at 4 Leurbost, Lochs, Isle of Lewis, subject to the conditions detailed at Appendix 1 of the Report.

Erection of House 1/2 Locheport, North Uist

The Acting Director of Environmental Services submitted a Report concerning an application for outline planning permission for the erection of a bungalow and garage at 1/2 Locheport, North Uist. The Report gave background information, commented on the application and indicated that representations had been received.

The Chairman invited Mr R Wallace, the applicant, to present his case and to answer questions put by Members of the Sub-Committee.

   

It was agreed that that the Acting Director of Environmental Services be authorised to grant outline planning permission for the erection of a bungalow and garage at 1/2 Locheport, North Uist, subject to the conditions detailed at Appendix 1 of the Report.

Canopy over Pens at Lochboisdale Mart, South Uist

The Acting Director of Environmental Services submitted a Report concerning an application for planning permission for a canopy to provide shelter over two rows of pens and passages at Lochboisdale Mart, South Uist. It was intimated in the Report that, as the Chairman of the applicant Company, Mr Ronald Mackinnon, was the Member for the Locheynort Ward, the matter had been referred to the Sub-Committee for determination.

   

It was agreed that the Acting Director of Environmental Services be authorised to grant planning permission for a canopy to provide shelter over two rows of pens and passages at Lochboisdale Mart, South Uist, subject to the conditions detailed in the Report.

The Acting Director of Environmental Services submitted a Report concerning an application for building warrant for alterations and extension of a house at 17 Garenin, Carloway, Isle of Lewis. It was intimated in the Report that, as the applicant, Mrs I Galbraith, was the wife of the Acting Chief Executive, the matter had been referred to the Sub-Committee for determination.

   

It was agreed that the Acting Director of Environmental Services be authorised to issue a building warrant in respect of the alterations and extension of a house at 17 Garenin, Carloway, Isle of Lewis.

Canopy over Pens at Lochboisdale Mart, South Uist

The Acting Director of Environmental Services submitted a Report concerning an application for building warrant for the erection of a canopy over the pens at Lochboisdale Market. It was intimated in the Report that, as the agent was Mr Ronald Mackinnon, Member for the Locheynort Ward, the matter had been referred to the Sub-Committee for determination.

   

It was agreed that the Acting Director of Environmental Services be authorised to grant a building warrant in respect of the erection of a canopy over the pens at Lochboisdale Market.
