Second Hand Motor Vehicle Dealers Licence CH04.23 |
2 |
With reference to item 9 of the Minute of Meeting of 30 October 2000 the Acting Director of Environmental Services submitted a Report concerning an application by Mr R G for a licence to deal in second hand motor vehicles. The Report outlined the concerns expressed by Trading Standards Section in respect of the application. Mr R G was found to be not present at the start of the meeting although formal notice was issued. Mr Ian M Macleod, seconded by Mr Donald I Nicholson, moved as a motion that Mr R G's application for a licence to deal in second hand motor vehicles be approved for a period of twelve months. Mr Angus Nicolson, seconded by Mr James L Macarthur, moved as an amendment that the application by Mr R G for a licence to deal in second hand motor vehicles be refused as the repeated non-observance of the conditions of licence indicated that Mr R G was, at present, not a fit and proper person to hold a licence. On the matter being put to the vote the amendment received the majority of votes cast and became the finding of the meeting. |
