LICENSING | ||
It was agreed that, in accordance with the provisions of Schedule 7 of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 the public, including the press, be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item on the grounds that exempt information in terms of Standing Order 26(f) would be disclosed, namely, information relating to the financial of business affairs of any particular person other than the Comhairle. | ||

The Acting Director of Environmental Services submitted a Report concerning an application for a licence to deal in metal from Mr K A C. The Report detailed the background to the matter and outlined concerns that had been expressed by the Comhairle's Principal Planning Officer. Mr K A C together with the Principal Planning Officer were invited into the meeting and were given an opportunity to be heard by the Sub-Committee. Members of the Sub-Committee were given the opportunity to ask questions of Mr K A C and the Principal Planning Officer. Both parties left the meeting during consideration of the matter. It was agreed to continue consideration of this matter to a special meeting of the Sub-Committee to be held on Wednesday 9 May 2001, following a site visit. |

The Acting Director of Environmental Services submitted a Report concerning an application for a licence to deal in second hand motor vehicles from a Mr M T. The Report detailed the background to the matter and indicated that an objection to the application had been lodged by Miss F C. The Sub-Committee was informed that neither Mr M T nor Miss F C was present at the meeting. It was agreed to continue consideration of this matter to a special meeting of the Sub-Committee to be held on Wednesday 9 May 2001, following a site visit. |
