		DEVELOPMENT CONTROL
Large Wind Farm Applications:  Presentations	2	With reference to item 2 of the Minute of Meeting of 24 May 2005 the Head of Development Services submitted a Report concerning the large Wind Farm applications and set out the arrangements for presentations on the Wind Farm applications submitted under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 by Lewis Wind Power Ltd and Beinn Mhor Power. Economy The Chairman invited Ms Elaine Hanton, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Calum Iain Maciver, Head of Economic Development, and Mr Donald Macaulay, Western Isles Enterprise to give a presentation on the Wind Farm applications submitted by Lewis Wind Power Ltd and Beinn Mhor Power. An opportunity was afforded to Members to ask questions of Ms Hanton, Mr Maciver and Mr Macaulay The Chairman thanked Ms Hanton, Mr Maciver and Mr Macaulay for their presentation.
		Crofting The Chairman invited Mr Neil Macleod, Crofting Foundation and Mr Alex Macintosh, Crofters Commission to give a presentation on the Wind Farm applications submitted by Lewis Wind Power Ltd and Beinn Mhor Power. An opportunity was afforded to Members to ask questions of Mr Macleod and Mr Macintosh The Chairman thanked Mr Macleod and Mr Macintosh for their presentation.
		Aviation The Chairman invited Mr John Hay, Highlands and Mr Andy Rackham, Highlands and Islands Airports Ltd to give a presentation on the Wind Farm applications submitted by Lewis Wind Power Ltd and Beinn Mhor Power. An opportunity was afforded to Members to ask questions of Mr Hay and Mr Rackham. The Chairman thanked Mr Hay and Mr Rackham for their presentation.
		Renewable Energy The Chairman invited Mr Maff Smith, Scottish Renewables to give a presentation on the Wind Farm applications submitted by Lewis Wind Power Ltd and Beinn Mhor Power. An opportunity was afforded to Members to ask questions of Mr Smith. The Chairman thanked Mr Smith for his presentation.
		Hydrology The Chairman invited Mr Jim Mackay and Mr Stuart Baird, Scottish Environment Protection Agency to give a presentation on the Wind Farm applications submitted by Lewis Wind Power Ltd and Beinn Mhor Power. An opportunity was afforded to Members to ask questions of Mr Mackay and Mr Baird. The Chairman thanked Mr Mackay and Mr Baird for their presentation.
		The Chairman invited Mr Mark Bilsby, Western Isles Fisheries Trust and Mr George H Macdonald, Western Isles Salmon Fishery Board to give a presentation on the Wind Farm applications submitted by Lewis Wind Power Ltd and Beinn Mhor Power. An opportunity was afforded to Members to ask questions of Mr Bilsby and Mr Macdonald. The Chairman thanked Mr Bilsby and Mr Macdonald for their presentation.
		Transportation The Chairman invited Chief Inspector Murdo A Fraser, Northern Constabulary, Mr Iain Mackinnon, Director of Technical Services, and Mr Donald Macrae, Principal Road Maintenance Officer, to give a presentation on the Wind Farm applications submitted by Lewis Wind Power Ltd and Beinn Mhor Power. An opportunity was afforded to Members to ask questions of Chief Inspector Fraser, Mr Mackinnon and Mr Macrae. The Chairman thanked Chief Inspector Fraser, Mr Mackinnon and Mr Macrae for their presentation.
		Housing The Chairman invited Mr Matt Bruce, Principal Officer of Development to give a presentation on the Wind Farm applications submitted by Lewis Wind Power Ltd and Beinn Mhor Power. An opportunity was afforded to Members to ask questions of Mr Bruce. The Chairman thanked Mr Bruce for his presentation.
