It was agreed that, in accordance with the provisions of Schedule 7(f) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, the public, including the press, be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item on grounds defined in Standing Order 26(f), namely, that exempt information which, if disclosed to the public would reveal information regarding financial or business affairs of any particular person. | ||
Licence to Deal in Metal Beside Bennadrove Landfill Site CH03.08.05 |

With reference to item 2 of the Minute of Meeting of 2 September 1998 the Director of Environmental Services submitted a Report concerning an application by Mr Mark Tayburn for a renewal of his licence to deal in metal for a metal storage/recycling facility at Bennadrove. No formal objection to the application had been received, but Mr Tayburn had yet to comply with conditions 1 - 4 of his Licence which required details to be submitted and subsequent work to be approved by the Director of Environmental Services in respect of pollution, sewage, landfill gas and security before trading activities began. The representative of the Director of Environmental Services together with Mr Mark Tayburn were invited into the meeting. An opportunity was afforded to the representative of the Director of Environmental Services and Mr Tayburn to present their respective cases and members of the Sub-Committee were afforded the opportunity to ask questions. |
It was agreed that the application by Mr Mark Tayburn for a renewal of his licence to deal in metal for a metal storage/recycling facility at Bennadrove would be approved for a period of 12 months. | ||
