It was agreed that, in accordance with the provisions of Schedule 7 of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, the public, including the press be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item on the grounds defined in Standing Order 26(f), namely, that exempt information which, if disclosed to the public would reveal information regarding the financial or business affairs of any particular person. | ||

The Director of Environmental Services submitted a Report concerning an application by Mr Alexander Murdo Macdonald to renew his licence to deal in second hand motor vehicles. The Report detailed the observations from Northern Constabulary in respect of the conviction of Mr Macdonald for supplying an unroadworthy vehicle and from Trading Standards in respect of an inspection of the premises. The Committee was informed that Mr Macdonald had been invited to the Meeting but was not present. |
It was agreed that the application by Mr Alexander Murdo Macdonald, trading as Daleys Deals, for renewal of his Second Hand Motor Vehicle Dealers Licence be approved for a period of 12 months and subject to random routine inspections as determined by the Acting Director of Environmental Services. Should further concerns arise, future applications for renewal would not be dealt with under Delegated Powers. |
