CONSTITUTION

The Committee Services Manager chaired the meeting and called for nominations for the post of Chairman.

Mr Donald Maclean, seconded by Mr Norman A Macdonald, moved the election of Mr Donald I Nicholson.

There being no further nominations, the Committee Services Manager declared that Mr Donald I Nicholson had been duly elected as Chairman of the Committee for the twelve month period to May 2000.

Appointment of Vice-Chairman

The Chairman called for nominations for the post of Vice-Chairman.

Mr Ian M Macleod, seconded by Mr George Lonie, moved the election of Mr Norman A Macdonald.

Mr Donald M Mackay, seconded by Mr Donald Maclean, moved the election of Mr James L Macarthur.

There being no further nominations, the Committee proceeded to vote by ballot, the result of which was as follows:

Mr Norman A Macdonald 9 votes

Mr James L Macarthur 5 votes

The Chairman declared that Mr Norman A Macdonald had been duly elected as Vice-Chairman of the Committee for the twelve month period to May 2000.

Appointment to Environmental Services Sub-Committee

The Director of Corporate Services submitted a Report concerning the appointment of Members to Environmental Services Sub-Committee. The Report referred to the constitution, functions and status of the Sub-Committee and requested the Committee to appoint Members to the Sub-Committee, other than ex-officio Members.

The Chairman called for nominations to fill six places on the Environmental Services Sub-Committee and the following nominations were received.

It was agreed that the Members nominated be appointed to the Environmental Services Sub-Committee.
