Election of Chairman

The Principal Administrative Officer chaired the meeting and called for nominations for Chairman of the Committee.

Mr Martin C Taylor, seconded by Mr Malcolm J Graham, moved the appointment of Mr Donald J Macsween.

Mr George Lonie, seconded by Mr Iain Morrison, moved the appointment of Mr Norman M Macleod.

There being no further nominations the Committee proceeded to vote by ballot the result of which was as follows:

Mr Donald J Macsween - 6 votes

Mr Norman M Macleod - 9 votes

The Principal Administrative Officer declared that Mr Norman M Macleod had been duly elected as Chairman of the Housing Committee.

Appointment of Vice-Chairman

The Chairman called for nominations for Vice-Chairman of the Committee.

Mr Donald I Nicholson, seconded by Mr Ian M Macleod, moved the appointment of Mr George Lonie.

There being no further nominations the Chairman declared that Mr George Lonie had been duly elected as Vice-Chairman of the Housing Committee.

Appointment of Members to the Housing Review Panel

H01.01

The Director of Corporate Services submitted a Report concerning the appointment of Members to the Housing Review Panel. The Report referred to the functions of the Housing Review Panel and requested the Committee to appoint Members to the Panel. It was further indicated in the Report that the Chairman was, ex officio, a Member of the Panel.

The Chairman called for nominations to fill not more than eight places on the Housing Review Panel and the following nominations were received:

Mr Murdo Macleod

Mr Iain Morrison

Mr Alexander M Mackintosh

Mr Neil Campbell

Mr Martin C Taylor

Mr John Mackay

Mr Donald J Macsween

It was agreed that the Members nominated be appointed to the Housing Review Panel.
