Comhairle nan Eilean Siar has recently secured funding from the Scottish Executive for the Western Isles Schools Project, involving five schools in the Western Isles. This money will be used for new building works and the refurbishment of The Nicolson Institute, Sir E Scott School, West Side Primary School, Bayble School and Balivanich Primary School.
