Point Community School

Bayble School

A new Community School will be built in Point, which will amalgamate the Primary Schools in the villages of Aird, Bayble and Knock into one, and will also provide accommodation for a two-year Secondary. Point Community School will be built on the site of the existing school at Bayble and, on completion of the construction of the new school, Aird and Knock Primary Schools will close.

It is proposed that an existing two-storey Secondary Block on the site and part of the “Link Block” will be retained; the remainder of the school will be demolished and the new school constructed to link in with the retained accommodation.

It should be noted that these are the current intentions and may be subject to change as the project progresses.
