The Western Isles community will be shocked and saddened by the fire which destroyed the Church of Our Holy Redeemer in Stornoway last night the Convener of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar has said. Convener Alex MacDonald has expressed support and sympathy and also his confidence that the congregation of the church is strong enough to overcome the sad event.
