Islands Exempt From Movement Ban

As a result of the current Foot and mouth outbreak in England a ban on all susceptible animal movements is in place in mainland UK. The islands of Scotland, including the Western Isles, are exempt and there are no restrictions on stock movements within the islands.

Normal stock movements i.e. gatherings, movements to the abattoir, dipping etc can take place as planned but movement of stock to and from the mainland is prohibited.
