Responding to a statement from Caledonian MacBrayne regarding seven days sailings, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar’s Chairman of Transportation, Cllr. Donald Manford, said:

“Clearly Caledonian MacBrayne has upped the ante on Sunday ferry sailings. The Comhairle’s policy position remains one of opposition to the introduction of ferry services on the Stornoway Ullapool route however we look forward to engaging with Cal-Mac on this issue where we can assess and evaluate the information that they have.”
