Vote For An Lanntair 12 November 2007

The Western Isles public are being urged to support An Lanntair as ‘Best Venue Of The Year’ in the Scots Traditional Music Awards. The arts centre in Stornoway has been nominated in this years awards and the result will be decided by an online poll.

The Convener of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, Alex MacDonald, said: “An Lanntair is a superb facility and deserves this recognition. I would urge anyone who has enjoyed the benefits of An Lanntair to support the centre by getting on line and casting a vote.”

Vice-Convener Angus Campbell said: “An Lanntair is up against some stiff opposition but the people of the Western Isles have shown how effective they can be in previous polls like this. I would ask them to do so again and show support for the Outer Hebrides nomination”.

St Andrew's in the Square - Glasgow
An Lanntair - Stornoway
Tolbooth – Stirling
