Commenting on the news that Arnish has secured a major contract for the production of wind towers, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar’s Vice-Convener, Angus Campbell, said:

“This is excellent news for Arnish and for the Western Isles economy and I congratulate all those who have worked hard to secure this work. This demonstrates that Arnish can successfully compete for business when projects are going ahead and I would urge the Scottish Government to speed up their decisions on renewable projects in Scotland so that Arnish can similarly secure those contracts.”
