“Comhairle nan Eilean Siar welcomes the news that the Gaelic Digital Channel has been given the go-ahead.  The Comhairle has been very supportive of the creation of a Gaelic digital channel; recognising the boost that this will give to the revitalisation of the language and the employment opportunities it creates for producers based in the Western Isles.  With the facilities that currently exist in the Western Isles there is the potential for some of the work to be based here.”
