How Do We Best Develop Renewable and Alternative Energy Projects for the Benefit of the Community and Environment of the Outer Hebrides?

A summit meeting to discuss renewable energy in thje Outer Hebrides is being held at An Lanntair, Stornoway on Monday 17th March.
The event has been organised by Comhairle nan Eilean Siar to look at the way ahead for Renewable Energy development in the Outer Hebrides.
A keynote address will be given by Energy Minister Jim Mather MSP. There will also be contributions from HIE, LWP, SNH, RSPB, Stornoway Trust, Alasdair Allan MSP and Angus Brendan MacNeil MP. The anti-windfarm Pressure Group, Moorland Without Turbines (MWT), has declined to take part in the event.
The provisional agenda for the day is attached though it is subject to alteration.
The summit will be chaired by Bill Howat, former Chief Executive of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar.
