Jenna Cumming and her talented friends Mary Ann Kennedy and Aaron Jones are on the road in the Outer Hebrides. Starting with Jenna’s own stomping ground in Tarbert, the group will then travel on to Carinish Hall, North Uist and Castlebay in Barra. The evening is sure to be a great night - not to be missed.

Jenna said:
“ I am really looking forward to being on stage as a trio and I have never performed in the Southern Isles, it is always nice to perform in new surroundings”

Jenna Cumming has a rare natural singing talent, which has been evident since she was very young. Born and brought up in Inverness, but with strong ties to the island of Harris, she is one of the select band of singers to win the two major Gold Medals at the National Mod, Gaeldom’s premier cultural festival. Still in her early twenties, her debut album, Kintulavaig, was released in 2005 on Macmeanmna Records to critical acclaim.

Kintulavaig is … one of the best debut albums I have heard for a long while. Cumming sings with a mature voice, with an ability to sound both soft and strong at the same time. The songs seem to be carefully selected to suit this voice, and the production, including choice of backing, is impeccable.  Greenman Review

Aaron Jones is currently a member of Old Blind Dogs (Folk Band of the Year 2007 - Scots Trad Music Awards) and tours as part of a duo with multi-instrumentalist Claire Mann with whom he released a debut duo CD titled Secret Orders to great critical acclaim on their own record label. He was Instrumentalist of the Year 2005 at the Scots Trad Music Awards.

Mary Ann Kennedy Mary Ann Kennedy is a Glasgow Gael now living in Lochaber where she and her husband run Watercolour Music Studios. A trad music background, classical training and fifteen years with the BBC have established her as a major figure in Scottish music scene, equally respected as a performer and as an authoritative commentator on world, classical and traditional music. She has won several major awards, including a Saltire Award, both National Mod Gold Medals and Radio Presenter of the Year at the Celtic Media Awards in 2007.
