Fairer Scotland Funding

Applications  to the Fairer Scotland Fund, administered by the Comhairle on behalf of The Outer Hebrides Community Planning Partnership have to be in by Wednesday 21 May.

Scottish Government guidelines for the Fairer Scotland Fund focus on three main areas:

Regenerating the most disadvantaged communities;
Improving the life chances of individuals and groups experiencing poverty and disadvantage;and
Improving employability, particularly for young people and other hard to reach groups.

Bids should reflect these priorities. The fund is made up of £589k for 2008/09.

The Fairer Scotland Fund replaces a number of current programmes and funding streams.

Bids should be submitted to the Chief Executive’s Office at the Comhairle.
