Comhairle nan Eilean Siar are hosting a Civic Reception for the Territirial Army in the Town Hall, Stornoway, on Monday 22 September 2008. Convener, Alex MacDonald, said – “I am pleased that the local Territorial Army are receiving due recognition for 100 years of dedicated service. This specialist and committed Volunteer Reserve Force has served our nation well. Territorials have served alongside our regular Forces in almost every post 1945 conflict in which Britain has been involved, including the present engagements in Iraq and Afghanistan.
