Pre-School Child Safety Seminar

Parents and grandparents of pre-school children are invited to join an evening seminar taking place on Thursday 20th June in the Chambers of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar. The event is being organised by the Safetywise Partnership and is part of Child Safety Week.

The seminar will consist of workshops covering safety in the following subject areas; Roads, Basic First Aid, Food, Water and Leisure, Accident Ages and Stages and Fire Prevention.

A number of agencies will be present on the evening including Police, Fire, Coastguard, Community Education, Health Visitors, Environmental Services, Health Promotion, Trading Standards and the Red Cross. The evening will provide a variety of information and discussion on many aspects of child safety. There will also be a competition held with prizes for the winners.
