Cheaper Fares Welcome News

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar’s Chairman of Transportation has welcomed the introduction of reduced fares on the Glasgow/Stornoway and Glasgow/Benbecula routes as from today.

Cllr. Norman A. Macdonald said: “BA City Express have delivered on the commitment they gave to the Comhairle regarding reduced fares and that is good news for the people of the Western Isles. There is now a whole range of prices available and it is particularly welcome that restrictions, including the Saturday night stopover and advance purchase, have been removed. I would urge people to make maximum use of these services and the flexible fare structure.”
