sportscotland Lottery Fund Sports Facilities Awards - Regional Facilities Strand Western Isles Council - Nicolson Lewis Sports Centre, Stornoway Project Title Nicolson Lewis Sports Centre Redevelopment To construct a new sports centre with six badminton courts, games hall, six-lane swimming pool with moveable floor, fitness suite, multi sports ancillary hall, crèche, soft play area and squash court. Kinlochleven Land Development Trust - Kinlochleven, Highland Project Title Carbon Bunker Development ‘The Ice Factory’ To develop a former carbon bunker to create an indoor mountaineering centre with 1000 square metres of climbing on rock ice. The mountaineering council of Scotland has designated it as a Regional Centre. 2 awards totalling; £1,775,000 South Lanarkshire Council - Hamilton, South Lanarkshire Project Title Annan Drive Integrated Community Facility Development of a facility providing swimming, indoor fitness and outdoor all weather sports facilities with a day care unit supporting earning disabled users. Argyll and Bute Council - Kilmory Industrial Estate, Lochgilphead, Argyll and Bute Project Title Bendarroch Park Changing Facilites To provide a two team changing facilities and associated works to serve an existing grass pitch and future multi-court. Suitable for use by school and the community. West Dunbartonshire Council - St Columbas High School, Clydebank Project Title St Columbas High School Fitness Suite To build a new fence and gate to control and direct access. To build a new entrance with two ramps and stairs. A new fitness suite, two changing rooms, staff base and disabled toilet. 3 awards totalling: £700,564 Local Facilities Strand East Renfrewshire Council Project Title Muirend Sports Pitches To upgrade and reinstate grass sports pitches, further to remediation of the site due to contamination. The site will encompass two full size and four seven-a-side pitches. Dumfries and Galloway Council Project Title Changing Accommodation, Jocks Loaning Playing Fields Provision of changing accommodation for four sports teams and two
sets of officials with a small kitchen and meeting room area. The
project also includes parking provision. Project Title Pavilion Development Provision of a permanent pavilion facility comprising of changing and showering facilities for players, meeting and social rooms and food preparation and serving facilities. Muirkirk Enterprise Group Ltd - Muirkirk, East Ayrshire Project Title Muirkirk Community All-weather Multi Sports Area Provision of a floodlit fenced all weather multi-court facility providing a safe play area in the centre of the village next to the existing games hall. Dumfries and Galloway Council Project Title Fitness Suite at Sanquhar F.U.N Pool To build onto the existing swimming pool to provide an 18-station fitness suite and adjacent training room as a base for GP referral consultations and staff development activities. Provision of a minimum of two private shower units. Three Villages Regeneration Group, Annbank, South Ayrshire Project Title Multi Sports Courts in Annbank and Tarbolton Multi-sport outdoor courts in the villages of Annbank and Tarbolton and skateboarding facilities in Tarbolton. Croy Miners Welfare Charitable Society - Croy, North Lanarkshire Project Title Croy One Stop Shop A multi faceted community facility meeting the heritage, social, economic and health needs of this ex-coalfield community. Part of the design is a dedicated sports wing for multi-purpose community use. Dumfries and Galloway Council Project Title Profiles Plus Fitness Suite Ryan Centre Upgrading existing fitness provision to provide a club atmosphere and a greater range of equipment and a larger circulation area. Fernieside Boys Club, Gilmerton, City of Edinburgh Project Title New Changing Facilities Changing facilities comprising of two changing rooms one referees room, toilets and showers, additional fencing and security lighting. Campbeltown & District Juvenile Football Association - CAKE Trust, Campbeltown, Argyll and Bute Project Title Millennium Field Sports Facility To construct a single storey pitched roof building incorporating changing rooms, toilets, showers, storage space and associated facilities. Glengowan Bowling Club - Caldercruix, North Lanarkshire Project Title Green Extension at Glengowan Bowling Club To increase the size of the bowling green on two adjacent sides and build up the two remaining sides. The Bishopbriggs Golf Club - Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire Project Title Golf Practice & Junior Development Facility To provide a golf development and practice area on the existing 14th and 15th holes encompassing six short holes, a driving and short game area with three new holes built on an area adjacent to the course replacing and upgrading the above. Blair Atholl & Struan Initiative - Blair Atholl, Perth and Kinross Project Title All Weather Sports Pitch Floodlit multi-use games area with a sand filled artificial grass surface suitable for football, tennis basketball and netball. Aberdeen Schools Rowing Association - Aberdeen Project Title National and International Standard Equipment Project To purchase international standard rowing boats and blades to support the top end of the association who are competing for Scottish and British selection. To purchase a larger boat trailer for transporting all required equipment. Clyde Cruising Club - Bardowie Loch, East Dunbartonshire Project Title The Bardowie Project New clubhouse and improved access. Cove Sailing Club - Argyll and Bute Project Title Upgrade of Club Jetty and Construction of Additional
Slipway Extension to the existing slipway, improvement of sea protection of jetty and its upgrade with the addition of safety features such as steps and handrails. City of Edinburgh Council - Clovenstone Education Centre Project Title H.U.T.S (Health Under Total Sport) Replacement of Clovenstone Sports Facilities (Boxing, Football Association, Fencing, Karate, Archery - Target and Field). The facilities are located within the Wetser Hailes (NLUS) New Life for Urban Scotland area, which has the same status as a SIP area. Cowal Indoor Bowling Club - Dunoon, Argyll and Bute Project Title New Build at Cowal Indoor Bowling Club Provision of male ands female and disabled changing areas. Improved disabled access including stair lift. Re-cladding of the outer walls and roof and installing a new heating system and lay new playing floor and surface. The Factory Limited - Dundee City Project Title New Factory Skatepark To create a 22,000 ft purpose built indoor facilities for skateboarding, BMXing and aggressive inline skating located at the apex of three SIP areas in Dundee. Extreme Wheels - Dingwall, Highland Project Title Extreme Wheels Skatepark Lay a blacktop surface and fix already procured ramps to allow participation in skateboarding, in-line skating and BMX biking.
