5 candidates will contest the Western Isles Constituency seat in the Scottish Parliament election. The hours of poll will be between 7.00am and 10.00pm on Thursday 1 May 2003, with the poll being combined with the Local Government Election which is being held on the same date. The count for the Scottish Parliament Election will be held from 10.00 pm on Thursday 1 May 2003 at the Nicolson Institute, Stornoway, with an expected declaration in the early hours of Friday 2 May 2003.
