Archie Campbell, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar’s Chairman of
Sustainable Development Committee, said:
“Stornoway Abattoir provides an invaluable service for the
crofting community of Lewis and Harris. I hope the facility is widely
used, and that the people will support it’s continued existence.”
A report on slaughterhouses throughout the Western Isles will go
to the Sustainable Development Committee in August.
