Sponsored Clean-ups

Are you involved with a Community Group in the Western Isles and looking to raise some extra funding?

Then you may want to consider a Sponsored Clean-up of your neighbourhood. You can apply for sponsorship of your clean-up within the Comhairle nan Eilean Siar Clean Up Campaign. Use the link on the right to access and print the Application Form. There are some guidance notes on the reverse of the form to help you plan your clean-up. Complete the form and send it off the relevant address for Lewis and Harris or Uists and Barra.

We will consider your application and let you know if we can support the clean-up.

The sponsorship includes access to refuse sacks, gloves, arranging delivery of refuse and recycling skips, if required and, of course, a donation to the Community Group involved.

The aim of the campaign is to increase public awareness of the problems associated with litter and to encourage a more positive attitude towards littering, the environment and the handling of rubbish and waste.
