Welcome to the Waste Aware Western Isles web pages. Here you will find details of the Waste Aware Campaign in the Western Isles together with help and advice on Organics and general Recycling information.

A large part of our campaign is focused on getting the Reduce Reuse Recycle message into the Community. You will find our Events and Visits Section contains details of school and club visits and details of other events we have attended. There is a map and description for every Community Recycling Point in the Western Isles in the Recycling Points Section. Read our Easy Recycling Guide (English) (Gaelic) to find out how you can help.

There is a wealth of information in the sections under Resources and Statistics. The resources area has some fun activities with a quiz and wordsearch for you to complete and test your knowledge.

There are a number of Recycled products produced at the Bennadrove Recycling Centre. Details of these and how to order can be found in the Order Materials Section. Details of waste disposal and recycling charges are available here.
