Leads the Way in Recycling

The Waste Aware Western Isles team will be bringing
the National Waste Aware campaign to the Western Isles
and introducing a unique Western Isles flavour to the
campaign. Based at the Bennadrove Landfill Site just
outside of Stornoway the team will lead the campaign
to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle for every home and business
in the Western Isles.
The Waste Aware team will be organising pilot schemes
of kerbside collections and other Recycling initiatives.
They have also published a helpline number that anyone
can call to get information or advice on how to Reduce,
Reuse or Recycle.
Keeping everyone informed about latest developments
locally and Nationally via press releases other publicity
initiatives. You will have opportunities to meet the
team through 2005 as they will be at many shows and
outside events. Looks like the team have a busy year
ahead of them. |
