New
Paper Banks Bring Dividends
25 January 2005
The volume
of paper being deposited into the new Paper Banks in
and around Stornoway are beginning to reap benefits.
Today a bulk loader from DR Macleod
Haulage left Bennadrove Recycling Centre with 28 tonnes
of paper bound for Stirling Fibre. This is the first
shipment of 2005 to be sent to the factory in Kilsyth
where it will be used to make paper pulp and from there
Recycled paper.
The bulk loader was full to the brim
with paper for Recycling, indeed some paper was left
at the Bennadrove Centre for future shipments. The load
is the first indication of the increase in paper offered
for recycling following the delivery of the new paper
Banks.
