Plastics Recycling

The first 2005 load of Plastics Recycling left Bennadrove today. The shipment is destined for a re-processing plant in the Central Belt. The load consisted of baled mixed plastics collected through Recycling Points.
The trailer was loaded at the Bennadrove Recycling Plant, with 13 tonnes of baled plastics material. Imagine how many milk containers or juice bottles there were in this 13 tonne load. Perhaps that could be a question in one of our competitions!
On arrival at the re-processing plant the various grades of plastics will be separated. Some types will be shredded to make plastic pellets that can be more easily transported and Recycled. Other types will be re-baled ready for Recycling.
