North Uist AAC To Benefit From Recycling Initiative

North Uist Amateur Athletics Club will benefit from Recycling in North Uist receiving donations for managing local Recycling Points. The Club have agreed to manage the North Uist Recycling Banks on behalf of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar. This arrangement covers the banks on sites in Solas, Bayhead and Clachan under the Community Recycling Initiative.
Members of the club will take care of the 3 sites, making sure that they are kept tidy and checking on how full the Recycling Banks are. When one of the Banks is ready to be emptied they will advise the Comhairle to arrange for it to be emptied. The Athletics Club will also help promote Recycling in the area.
Comhairle nan Eilean Siar will make a donation to the Club each time one of the Recycling Banks is emptied.
