Public Realm works proposed in the bid are:

• The repair of a prominent section of the castle walls fronting the inner harbour. This is proposed to be done as a conservation skills training project. It is intended to demonstrate good conservation practice and an exemplar project for the repair of further sections of the wall
• The resurfacing of the parts of the ‘narrows’ in good quality Caithness paving
