Addition to the Barra road network

The latest addition to the Barra road network is seen taking shape in January 19, 2002, as work on the roadbed and the associated services carries on.

The road links a spur off the existing main route to the north of the island to the new ferry terminal at Aird Mhor and will form part of the Western Isles spinal route between Ness in Lewis and Vatersay.
