The significant figures - 100 per cent - appear in the data for the week ending June 9 as work on the Causeway sweeps towards a conclusion.

A final total of 700,000 tonnes of rock has been removed from the Glendale quarry and from the Eriskay cutting and placed to form the causeway.

Reinstatement is now continuing at the quarry to restore the site.
