- Core level raised to 2.2m below finished road level
- Rock armouring to core in progress
- Total rock placed : 515,000 tonnes : over 70% of final quantity
Uist Quarry
- Drilling & preparation for blasting
- Excavating rock – 75% complete
- Crushing excavated rock for use in road construction - completed
Bridge
Driving of steel piles on the southern side completed – piling contractor demobilised
Preparation for pile-cap construction begun
Rock armouring of north abutment in progress
Eriskay Approach Road
Road cut extended to 600m inland from shore (of 650m) – rock excavation 90% complete
