Bridge
Work continued last week after a holiday break and several aspects of the Causeway project are almost entirely completed, with almost all the rock needed for the link having been blasted and moved.
Causeway
- Rock armouring to core in progress : 94 per cent complete
- Stone parapet walls continuing both sides south of bridge : 1900m complete, 57 per cent complete
- Total rock placed : over 670,000 tonnes : 96 per cent of final quantity
Bridge
Diversion fill removal - 85 per cent complete

Drilling, blasting & excavating rock Ð 95 per cent complete
Road and Services
Reinstatement works continuing
Weather: mostly fine and cold, with some wind and showers
Personnel: 53 total employed on site (including 2 CnES), 60% resident in the Western Isles.
Programme: Completion of causeway and Ceann a Gharaidh planned for end of July.
