Causeway
Almost one-third of the causeway was, by April 28, completed to the final planned level before the road surface can be put on. Other progress included:
Causeway
- Rock armouring: 95 per cent complete
- Stone parapet walls continuing both sides to the south of the bridge : 2050m complete, 62 per cent
- Total rock placed : almost 680,000 tonnes, 97 per cent of final quantity
Bridge
Diversion fill removal, 85 per cent complete

Drilling, blasting and excavating rock - 95 per cent complete
Road and Services
- Reinstatement works continuing
- Watermain pipe laying continues on Causeway with about 55 per cent of total pipe laid
Weather: mostly fine, with some wind and showers
Personnel: 53 total employed on site (including 2 CnES), 60% resident in the Western Isles.
