Eriskay Causeway
Progress up to 6th August
- Fenders and navigation lights installed on bridge
- Continuation of remaining minor works
Progress up to 1st September
- Fencing work progressing both at the South Uist and the Eriskay ends of the Causeway
- Personnel: 22 total (50 per cent resident in the Western Isles) - 3 in Uist, 9 at Aird Mhor, 4 R.J. Macleod supervisory, 2 R.J. Mcleod ancillary, 3 fencing subcontractors and 1 CnES
- Weather: Week ending 1st September started fair becoming very wet on the Tuesday, fairing up again, becoming changeable
Progress up to 18th September
In the weeks from September 3 - 15 work on the final finishing of the Eriskay Causeway and the ferry terminal at Ceann a Gharaidh was continuing.
Status report:
- Remaining minor work continues
- Surfacing squad back to finish the sundry works
Progress up to 29th September
Surfacing of sundry works has been completed and the existing road between the South Glendale junction and the quarry haul road has been overlaid.
